Features |
|
| Below please find the description of the main features available in the ShinyStat versions. |
|
 |
|
CGI, ASP, PHP Parameters Support |
 |
This feature allows you to track cgi, asp, php, parameters in the 'Pages' reports. Thanks to these parameters,
which otherwise would be filtered, you can identify dynamic pages with extreme precision.
Notice: For easier reading of dynamic pages reports, it is advisable to use the feature 'Dynamic Pages'
(see below).
|
Dynamic Pages |
 |
Thanks to a parameter in its HTML code, ShinyStat allows you to assign a name to the dynamic pages of your web site.
This innovative feature makes it easy to monitor your ASP, PHP, CGI, pages. This function is not available in
traditional Log Analyzers because dynamic pages are reached through a unique URL.
You can also group dynamic pages in sections, so that the visit trends can be monitored in a very easy and
effective way.
For example, you can track each item of your catalogue simply by assigning a name to the web page corresponding to it.
For further information, please read the guide.
|
Exit Links |
 |
|
This feature, available in ShinyStat Business, allows you to track the number of times your visitors clicks a link on
your site, including links pointing to a file, to an application download or to an affiliated site page.
Thanks to ShinyStat Exit links, you can also track the number of times your visitors click on a third party
banner on your site.
|
Time Reports |
 |
|
These reports show the average time your visitors spend on the whole site and on each of its pages.
The time spent on each page is extremely useful to know as well as which contents are the most popular among
your visitors, that is, where they stay the longest.
|
Icons and Counters |
 |
|
ShinyStat offers a wide range of Icons and Counters
you can choose from, in relation to color, size and design. Moreover, you can also choose whether to display the number of
online visitors in real time and make the icon/counter visible or not in site pages (only in the Pro and Business Versions).
|
Conversions |
 |
A Conversion occurs when a visitor takes an action that the ShinyStat user deems valuable, according to his objectives of analysis.
Examples of conversions are: a successful completion of an online order/purchase, the filling out of a form or the subscription
to a mailing-list, etc.
The conversion rate is the percentage of visitors taking an action against the number of visitors coming
from the same referrer. The conversion rate is the key element for analyzing a successful advertising campaign.
In addition, it shows how effective specific search engines or partner sites are.
Campaign Conversions
The analysis of campaign conversions (keyword advertising, partner sites, e-mail marketing or banners) allows you to evaluate
three key elements of your advertising campaigns:
- the number, the kind of conversion and the conversion rate per campaign
- ROI (Return On Investment), is the indicator that compares, as a percentage, the revenues with the investment (i.e. the cost of your campaign)
- CPC (Cost-per-click) and CPA (Cost-per Action) , two parameters which measure, respectively: the cost
calculated on a per-click basis and the cost divided by the number of conversions (Actions).
Referrer Conversions
The conversions by referrer allow you to identify which referrer (web sites and search engines including the search
terms) brings the visitors with the highest number of conversions. Thanks to this feature, for each referrer you will be shown:
- the number and the kind of conversions
- the revenue they generate
- the conversion rate
